I’ve been dealing with a CEL on my 2000-2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8L GXE for a while now, and finally got around to addressing the P1130 code, which points to the Swirl Control Valve. After some digging, I sourced a new part, but noticed a key difference.
The original swirl control valve on my Nissan Sentra 2004 has two vacuum line connectors. The new part also features these, which is expected. However, the new swirl control valve includes an additional solid metal spout that my original part lacks.
Has anyone else encountered this when replacing the swirl control valve on a Nissan Sentra 2004 or similar models? I’m curious if this metal spout is a revised design by Nissan, and if so, what it connects to. Any insights or experiences with this replacement would be greatly appreciated!
